Radio Privacy Policy

binopp ("Developer") operates Radio ("App") and is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information.

1. Information We Collect

This app does not require account registration or login. We do not collect or store any personally identifiable information such as name, email, phone number, or address.

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Stations you favorite
• Recently played stations (up to 30 entries)
• Station list cache per country (to reduce network usage, 24h TTL)
• Language preference, selected country, tuning noise & haptic settings

This data never leaves your device and is inaccessible to the developer. The app does not offer cloud backup or account synchronization.

2. Network Communication

The app performs network communication only in the following cases:

• Radio Browser public API: Used to fetch the worldwide internet-radio station directory and metadata (name, stream URL, country, bitrate, etc.). Radio Browser is a CC0-licensed community database. No user identifying information is transmitted.
• Broadcaster streaming servers: To play live audio, the app connects directly to each station's public streaming server (e.g., Icecast, Shoutcast). Those server operators may log your IP address and User-Agent string.
• Google AdMob servers: Used to deliver the bottom banner ad. (See section 3 below.)

3. Third-Party Service — Google AdMob

To keep the app free, we display two ad formats via Google AdMob: (1) a bottom banner and (2) native ads blended into station lists. We deliberately do not use interstitial or rewarded ads so that music/radio playback is never interrupted. AdMob may collect:

• Advertising identifier (Android: GAID)
• Device information (model, OS version)
• Approximate location
• App usage data

You may opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.

4. Permissions Used

The app uses only the following permissions:

• Internet: Fetch station lists, stream audio, serve ads
• Foreground service / media playback: Keep radio playing while the screen is off
• Notifications: Show playback controls in the lock screen and notification shade
• WAKE_LOCK: Prevent CPU sleep during long playback sessions

We do not request sensitive permissions such as camera, location, contacts, or storage.

5. Children's Privacy

This app is directed at a general audience and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. Note that content from third-party radio broadcasters (news, music, talk) is not curated or filtered by the developer, and parental guidance may be appropriate.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

All locally stored data (favorites, recent history, station cache, settings) is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app. You can also clear in-app data at any time via "Clear station cache" in Settings, "Clear all" in Favorites, and "Clear all" in Recent. No data is stored on developer servers.

7. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated in accordance with applicable laws or service changes. Users will be notified via the app or store listing page.
